Experience the beauty of nature with violin virtuosa Kinga Augustyn, from singing birds in the soul-captivating Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams to the shimmering water of Karol Szymanowski’s La Fontaine d'Arethuse and the Japanese cherry blossoms of Yui Kitamura’s Yumezakura. The program includes Bela Bartók’s “Romanian Folk Dances,” Gershwin’s “Summertime,” and Pablo de Sarasate’s “Gypsy Aires.”
Born in Poland, New-York based Augustyn has performed at venues across Asia, Europe, and the United States including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She completed undegraduate and graduate degrees at The Juilliard School and received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Stony Brook University. Augustyn first appeared at The Sembrich in 2016 and was a featured performer in our 20/20: Virtual Visionaries Summer Festival.
